The period of Art Deco was filled with hope of a new world in which joy & style might erase the horrors and privations of World War I. It was a time when manners mattered, when all elements of the human environment exuded luxury and a desire to redefine 'class'. It was a time when women boldly restated their femininity and men exuded smoldering masculinity.
