I'm in my 60's, but I can remember watching old b/w movies on tv with the actors and actresses wearing the most magnificent looking clothing! Everything (their clothes)looked so tailor made to their bodies. The mens suits were sharp all the way down to the hem of the pants or the cut of the jackets. The women wore slinky, flimy gausey looking frocks, or exquisitely made suits and furs....I just love lookin at that stuff. And the furniture and rooms! I can't say enough about the furniture and art (movies like Top Hat, Swingtime etc) Erte is my favorite designer and artist for that period. It was like he was futuristic without knowing he was futuristic. I am really a fan of art deco, don't know if it will ever be like that again, but I'm sure glad there is still a record of it left in various forms, so we can still enjoy it today.
