we have the boat...1955 ski ..just need the house.

As an Australian growing up in the 60's/70's, I always noticed certain pieces of glass, crockery and furniture that my parents had that I really loved. Now that they both have gone, I kick myself for not rescuing some of those things from the bin!

But I have been collecting Art Deco, mainly lighting and wall sconces.. I love the glass and stlye from that era, so much class. And anything kitchen.

My next home is going to have a lot of Art Deco - bathroom, kitchen and I've even designed an Art Deco pool that we will be building ourselves. I have most of the bathroom collected and I'm looking for the original square bath to renovate, all in black and aqua blue glass tiles.

The kitchen will be black and cream. I have most of the kitchen appliances, as original as possible and I am going to paint some tiles with an Art Deco patern, as they're really hard to find. Now I'm thinking of doing the dinning room as well.

We will be renovating an old home soon and we will be building the front to look like it was built in the Art Deco era...the curved brick wall and chrome railing on the balcony...and an original Deco front door. If I can't find one, we'll have to make one! I always have some sort of Art Deco architectural house from around the world as my screen saver, and my favourite bar is full of Art Deco anything...

I think it's the best era ever..... Fabulous..
Keep up the good work and I love your web site.
Kerry

If you ever come to the US, you must try to come when the Art Deco Society of California has its Art Deco Show and Sale. There is merchandise from over 200 dealers. Everything from jewelry to appliances and furniture to clothing. It's a great event.
Cheers,
Stephan
